When
you use tickets à la carte to pay your fare, the date and time are printed
on the back of the magnetic card. So if you must use more than one STM
vehicle (bus or metro) to reach your destination, you need only insert your
card again in the appropriate slot of the fare control equipment to validate
your transfer. Transfers are valid for 120 minutes from the time printed on
the back of the magnetic card.
If
you are still using the older-type tickets in the métro, you must remember
to get a transfer from the station’s dispenser. On the bus, the driver will
issue a older-type transfer ticket.
This transfer is valid for 120 minutes from the moment it is issued; the time printed
indicates when it expires.

Notice
A transfer does not allow transit users to carry out a return trip or to
interrupt their trip and later take another bus on the same route. One
cannot take the metro again using a transfer issued in the metro. |
