Partnerships for a new kind of mobility
The STM’s mission consists of developing and operating an integrated transit system while
cordially providing safe, rapid, reliable and comfortable transportation. Still, STM leaders believe that more can be done and, for
that reason, want to add to their eco-responsible actions by initiating partnerships that promote the use of active and complementary
modes of transportation. Together, these are known as the Transportation Cocktail.

Tandem Vélo-STM promotion |
Upon purchasing four monthly transit passes covering the period from December 1, 2011 to March 31, 2012, Vélo Québec Association members will receive six unit fares for free, that they can start using April 1, 2012. As a bonus, members will also be issued a new OPUS card for free, loaded with their four monthly passes and unit fares.

Taxi partnership adds drive to the Society in motion

Despite what many people might think, the taxi is not a competitor of the STM. The services offered by taxi companies must be seen as an addition
to the range of alternative options to solo driving. This reason alone could justify to include taxi in the transportation cocktail, but there's more…
Thanks to the co-operation of the taxi industry, the STM is able to better serve its clients. In fact, the involvement of the taxi industry makes it
possible for the STM to offer a taxibus service in 10 low-density sectors where bus service would not be efficient. Moreover, taxi is also an essential
partner to the daily operations at Transport adapté (Paratransit) by providing 83% of the 2.4 million annual trips.
Without doubt, we can affirm that taxi is also part of the Society in Motion.
